2021 Chateau Boswell Tapestry Red Rated 98

"The 2021 Tapestry Red Wine comes all from the Hossfeld Vineyard off of Soda Canyon Road and is based on 64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Merlot. This beauty is just about pure perfection and reveals a dense purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of ripe black and blue fruits (blueberries, cassis) that gives way to more Bordeaux-like notes of lead pencil shavings, tobacco leaf, and crushed stone. It's more plush, supple, and sexy compared to the more structured Cabernet Sauvignon, but it still brings an iron fist in a velvety glove-like style in its full-bodied, concentrated, flawlessly balanced profile on the palate. This brilliant effort will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar, but if you're able to wait that long, you have more restraint than I do.
